  • CattleMaster® 4 is a freeze-dried vaccine of chemically altered infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus and parainfluenza 3 (PI3) virus, and modified live bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV) plus a liquid, adjuvanted preparation of inactivated cytopathic and non-cytopathic bovine viral diarrhoea (BVD) virus.

Viruses are propagated on established cell lines. Contains gentamicin as preservative.

  • CattleMaster® 4 is used for vaccination of healthy cattle, including pregnant cows as an aid in preventing infectious bovine rhinotracheitis caused by infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus, bovine viral diarrhoea (BVD) virus, and disease caused by parainfluenza 3 (PI3) virus and bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV).

  • Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.

Keep out of reach of children, animals and uninformed persons.

As with most vaccines, anaphylaxis may occur after use. Initial antidote of adrenalin is recommended and should be followed by appropriate supportive therapy.

This product has been shown to be efficacious in healthy animals. A protective immune response may not be elicited if animals are incubating an infectious disease, are malnourished or parasitised, are stressed due to shipment or environmental conditions, are otherwise immunocompromised, or the vaccine is not administered in accordance with label directions.

Although this vaccine has been tested extensively under a large variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected seek veterinary advice and notify the registration holder

  • Keep out of reach of children, animals and uninformed persons.

    Use entire vaccine once opened.

    Contains gentamycin as preservative.

Burn containers and all unused contents.

Sterilized syringes and needles should be used to administer this vaccine. Do not sterilize with chemicals since traces of disinfectant may inactivate the vaccine.

  • Use only as directed.

General Directions: Vaccination of healthy cattle is recommended. Aseptically rehydrate the freeze-dried component with the liquid component and administer 2 ml intramuscularly.

Primary vaccination: Two doses are recommended, 2 to 4 weeks apart. To avoid possible maternal antibody interference with active immunization, calves vaccinated before the age of 6 months should be revaccinated after 6 months of age.

Revaccination: Annual revaccination with a single 2 ml dose is recommended.

  • Store at 2 - 7 °C. Do not freeze.

Prolonged exposure to higher temperatures and/or direct sunlight may adversely affect potency.
