Porcine Circovirus Vaccine, Type 1-Type 2 Chimera, Killed Virus

Each dosage unit delivers: Active substances: cPCV1-2 inactivated suspension: ≥ 1,3 RP at release. Contains gentamicin and thimerosal as preservatives. 

Withdrawal period for vaccines: 21 days.

Vaccinate healthy animals only.

Do not mix this vaccine with any other vaccine or medication.

Do not inject intravenously.

Accidental self-injection could lead to a severe allergic reaction. Consult a physician immediately and provide him/her with vaccine details.

Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals.

Although this remedy has been tested, failure thereof may ensue as a reslut of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, seel veterinary advice and contact the registration holder. 

Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to the animals.

Avoid contact of the product with skin, eyes and mouth.

Do not eat, drink or smoke whilst handling the product.

Dispose of any unused vaccine, containers, equipment and any other waste after use in accordance wih the National Environmental Management: Waste Act, 2008 (Act No 59 of 2008).

Do not store unused containers for future use.

Observe aseptic precautions. Ensure that all vaccination equipment (containers, syringes and needles) are clean and sterlie prior to and during use.

Do not use disinfectants or antiseptics to sterilise the inside of the injector.

Adhere to the vaccination programme to obtain optimum results. 

Transient local reactions may be observed at the injection site. As with many vaccines, allergic reactions may occur. Initial antidote of epinephrine is recommended and should be followed with appropriate supportive therapy. 

USE ONLY AS DIRECTED. For the vaccination of healthy pigs, 3 weeks of age or older.

Allow the vaccine to gradually reach room temperature (20˚C - 25˚C) prior to use.

Shake well before use and at regular intervals during the vaccination process. Route of administration: intramuscular. Ensure that all animals are vaccinated.

General directions: Vaccination of healthy pigs, 3 weeks or older. Aseptically administer a single 2 ml dose intramuscularly.

FOSTERA PCV METASTIM may also be administered as two 1 ml doses administered two weeks apart. A 23-week duration of immunity has been demonstrated after vaccination.

Revaccination: Revaccination after 23 weeks with a single dose is recommended. 

Store at 2 - 7˚C. Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened.
