Terramycin^® 100

Terramycin^® 100 is an injectable short-acting oxytetracycline.

Oxytetracycline HCl 100 mg per ml.

For the treatment of heartwater, tick-borne gallsickness (anaplasmosis), pneumonia, footrot, joint-ill and navel-ill in livestock as well as strangles in horses.

• Inject 1 ml of Terramycin^® 100 per 10 kg body mass by subcutaneous, intramuscular and intravenous routes.

In the case of intramuscular injections:

1. Administer injections intramuscularly in the heavy muscled regions of the neck.
2. Administer injections in a minimum of two locations to limit the volume injected per site.
3. Do not administer more than 20 ml in any one site.

• Do not use in dogs.
• Do not slaughter animals for human consumption within 7 days of last treatment.
• Milk from treated cows should not be used for human consumption within 48 hours of last treatment.
• Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, seek veterinary advice and notify the registration holder.

• Please see the instructions in the package insert if intravenous is the chosen route to be used.
